When you purchase a diamond that is GIA certified, you will receive a report that is essentially your voucher for your diamond’s authenticity. The report will include the grading and specifications regarding your diamond’s measurements, style, carat weight, color, clarity, and cut. There are other organizations that offer certification similar to GIA, however the Gemological Institute of America is mostly widely used and accepted. With a GIA certification, you will have an unbiased accurate assessment of your diamond.
