Summer Via and Nathan Sheets: A Proposal Story

Nathan proposed to Summer on Saturday, June 19, 2010. He asked her parents for their blessing 6 weeks prior to proposing. Nathan wasn’t sure when he was going to propose, but he told his parents and Summer’s that when he bought the ring he would bring it by to show them. He went to Christopher William Jewelers and bought the ring the same day he proposed. Summer’s family had already planned a cookout that day and invited his family over as well. They all were talking, eating and enjoying the beautiful evening out on Summer’s parents’ deck. Once they had finished eating and were just sitting around enjoying each others’ company, Nathan walked out the back door and grabbed Summer’s hand and asked her to come with him. He took her over to the stairs that go off the deck and he asked Summer just how much she loved him. Nathan then got down on one knee and asked Summer to marry him. Of course Summer said, “YES!” She cried and had everyone else crying too. The proposal was so simple and special and Summer was so happy that he did this in front of the people they both care about the most. It was a memorable day that they will never forget.
