Fabulous Finds: June
We see things that we love all of the time and file them away in hopes of finding the perfect post to share them in later. Sometimes there are too many fun things to share and we just can’t wait, so here is our first edition of “Fabulous Finds;” kind of like “Oprah’s Favorite Things,” but for weddings and without all of the screaming audience members!
1. Wooden wedding bands: I first saw this on my husband’s best friend and thought it was the coolest idea, especially for eco-friendly rugged, or outdoorsy types that aren’t thrilled about wearing a super-fancy wedding ring. Wooden bands are not only beautiful they are a great alternative to the cost of traditional wedding bands. If you like the idea and the look of wood but want the durability and ease of metal, there are rings with wood inlaid in gold, titanium or tungsten. Check some of our ring vendors in your location to find one!

2. A song request card: Ask your guests to request a few of their favorite dancing songs for your wedding reception. I recently saw this on the back of my friend Becca’s response card and thought it was the BEST idea. My choices were Van Morrison’s “Brown-Eyed Girl” and Lionel Richie’s “All Night Long” if you were wondering!
3. Unique table names: I know, naming the tables at your reception in a personal way is old news, but I still can’t get enough of all the cute ideas out there. I really like the idea of naming your tables with places that are special to you and your fiance. If you’re doing a buffet dinner, a good way to dismiss the tables to eat would be to call out the table name and then explain why it’s important to the couple. Do you have any different ideas you’ve seen lately?
4. A fun kids table: I think this is the cutest idea ever. If you have children in your wedding party, such as ring bearers or flower girls, or if you know a lot of kids will be present at the reception, this is a perfect option to keep them happy and make them feel included. Check out the cute details from my friend, Katie Crabtree’s kiddie table.
5. Sassy party dresses for your bridesmaids: If you’ve read any of my recent posts you’ve seen how much I’m obsessed with short, cocktail dresses for the bridal party, mainly because they can be worn again, and also just because they’re so much fun!

6. Cupcake in a jar: I got one of these as a favor at a recent baby shower, but think it would be so adorable as a wedding favor, as well. Check out some of our cake vendors in your area to see if they can make your favorite cupcake in a jar!

7. The color blush: As mentioned in my Monday’s Montage, I am loving this color right now. I have recently seen it paired with black and love the stark contrast of the soft pink against a dark shade. I purchased this dress from Target for only $20 and paired it with a wide, black belt for a pre-wedding cocktail party and got lots of compliments. It would be the perfect color against a black or gray tux for the guys.
Hope you enjoyed some of our favorite things this month. Let me know some of yours!
